Queen’s University Belfast International Study Centre
Prepare for entry to Year 2 of an engineering-related undergraduate degree at Queen's University Belfast. There are six specialist sub-pathways to choose from: Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering.
If you have a higher English language level, you may qualify for our iCAS – integrated Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) – programme. Combining your pathway and degree in a single study plan, you’ll only need one visa for the duration of your studies and can apply with alternative English language qualifications to IELTS.

- During your pathway, gain hands-on experience through laboratory work in the university's fully equipped science labs.
- Learn from pathway teachers qualified to PhD level.
- Study using industry-standard, computer-aided design and simulation tools during your pathway.
- Opportunity to undertake a placement year as part of your degree with organisations such as BP Chemicals, Pfizer, Arup, AECOM, Farrans Construction and Graham Construction.
- Prepare for your degree in our on-campus International Study Centre, with expert support from day one.

All students commencing courses for the September start date must be 17 years old by 31 December of that calendar year. For all other start dates, students must be 17 years old on the published start date of the course.Academic Requirements
Two 'D' grades from a UK A-level board, a recognised foundation, first year of an overseas university degree programme or equivalent with good grades. Students will be expected to have studied Mathematics and preferably Physics at this level. Students wishing to study Chemical Engineering must have GSCE Chemistry grade 4/C or equivalent.English Language Requirements
IELTS 5.0 (with a minimum of 5.0 in reading and writing and no less than 4.5 in all other subskills) or equivalent.iCAS
